Three Kid's Clay Camps: June 10th - 28th
for kids ages 6-15

Luling Icehouse Pottery is excited to add children’s clay experiences to the 2013 class schedule. Beginning this June, we are offering three "Kid's Clay Camps" for children ages 6-15. Students will explore clay, learn basic techniques, and have fun in a supportive, relaxed environment. Your child will create collectible ceramic works of art that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Instructor Catherine Sherwood has been an art teacher for over 16 years, and has taught adult and children’s classes and workshops at The Austin Museum of Art at Laguna Gloria, Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Wimberley Montessori and Parkside Community School in Austin. Catherine brings a high level of enthusiasm for the creative problem solving process. She is always amazed at how something magical happens when a kid gets hold of a lump of clay!
Instructor Luke Pruett was born in Plainview, Texas, and graduated from Texas State University in 2009. He has a background in art ranging from fine art painting and drawing to ckay and ceramics. He has participated in many solo and group painting and sculpture exhibitions. Luke loves working with kids, and he currently teaches art at Luling High School.
Luling Icehouse Pottery is pleased to announce a third "Kid's Clay Camp" this summer for older kids who would like to try the potter's wheel. Instructor and resident potter Charley Pritchard brings over 20 years of wheel turning expertise to this class where students will receive one-on-one instruction in basic wheel turning techniques. No experience necessary. This class is limited to a maximum of 6 students.

Kid's Clay Camp: Ages 6-8
Handbuilding with clay. Monday-Friday June 10th-14th (5 days) 9am-12noon Children ages 6-8 Instructor: Catherine Sherwood $135.00 per student (includes all materials and kiln firing of finished artworks). Kid's Clay Camp: Ages 9-12 Handbuilding with clay. Monday-Friday June 17th-21st (5 days) 9am-12noon Children ages 9-12 Instructor: Luke Pruett $135.00 per student (includes all materials and kiln firing of finished artworks). Introducing: Beginner's Wheel Turning for Teens! Monday-Friday June 24th-28th (5 days) 10am-12noon Teens ages 13-15 (class limited to 6 students) Instructor: Charley Pritchard $135.00 per student (includes all materials and kiln firing of finished artworks). Family Discount We are happy to offer a 10% discount to families who would like to enroll two or more children. All children must be from the same household to qualify for the discount.
